Adirondack Wine & Food Festival 2021 postponed

Adirondack Festivals, LLC, organizers of the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival, have decided to move the 2021 event to 2022. The Festival was originally scheduled for June 25 and 26, 2021, however, current New York Department of Health regulations that limit attendees to 1,000 people per day make a festival this year difficult.

“The Adirondack Wine & Food Festival is an event meant to bring thousands of people together to sample the amazing wines, craft beverages and artisan foods that New York’s producers have to offer,” says Festival owner Sasha Pardy. “The safety protocols in place discourage touching products, risk of cross-contamination, standing in lines, congregating, etc. These protocols also increase vendors’ expenses and would severely change the flow and feel of the event that our attendees have come to know and love over the years.”

Postponing the event until the COVID-19 situation improves seemed the best option, says Pardy, and she looks forward to 2022 when the Festival can return with all the features attendees have come to enjoy.

Last April, the 2020 Festival was moved to the fall, and then canceled as the global pandemic persisted. The 2019 Festival drew more than 6,000 and had more than 120 vendors including 33 wineries, 15 distilleries, 7 breweries, 7 cideries, a meadery, 12 food trucks, 28 artisan food vendors and 19 craft and specialty vendors. The event generated a $3.5 million economic impact.

“We can’t wait to welcome the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival back in 2022,” says Gina Mintzer, executive director of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB.  “In the meantime, local craft beverage and food producers are open, and people can visit and support these establishments. We encourage people to check out the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail at adkcraftbev.com.”

Adirondack Festivals, LLC expects to have tickets to the 2022 Festival available for the holiday season.
