Great Escape Fright Fest opens this weekend

Fans of the macabre, your time has arrived. The Six Flags Great Escape Fright Fest kicks off Saturday, Sept. 30 and continues each weekend through Oct. 29. The daylight hours are filled with kid-friendly fun including trick-or-treating and visits with costumed characters. As the sun goes down, the zombies rise. This year’s Fright Fest features four haunted houses, four scare zones and ghoulish entertainment. Admission includes unlimited rides on the Great Escape’s famous roller coasters and thrill rides.

The Great Escape has a few deals on admission to the 2017 Fright Fest. Opening weekend, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, tickets are discounted 40 percent. Purchase of a 2018 Season Pass includes admission to 2017 Fright Fest. Bring your dog in a costume on Oct. 1 for the Bark in the Park event and get in free with discounted admission for the rest of the family. Bark in the Park registration begins at noon and dogs must exit the park by 4 p.m. Any guest can receive a discounted admission on Oct. 1 by donating a dog toy or treat to benefit Friends of Phoebie Animal Rescue.
