LEO Weekend 2018 seminars to address issues in modern policing

Dealing with homegrown terrorism, active shooter situations and social media rumors has become a regular part of the job for 21st Century law enforcement. Law Enforcement Officers Weekend returns to Lake George June 15 – 17, 2018, and organizers have just released the weekend’s seminar schedule, which brings in experts on these and other contemporary subjects. The three-day event, which debuted last year, is designed primarily to bring law enforcement officers together for relaxation and camaraderie on the shores of Lake George, but also, with the seminar series, includes an educational component.

LEO Weekend registration is open to all law enforcement officers, active and retired, including corrections officers, District Attorneys, public safety personnel and their families. Registration includes access to all seminars and an LEO Weekend t-shirt. Other activities may be added on an a la carte basis. Participants may save $15 off the regular registration price of $75 by registering before February 1, 2018.

Activities planned for LEO Weekend 2018 include golfing at Top Of The World Golf Resort, a shooting competition, paintball games, a boat cruise, 5k memorial walk/run, and a Sunday morning memorial service. More activities may be added to the schedule as the date approaches. LEO weekend is hosted by the Fort William Henry Hotel where the seminars and many LEO activities will be held. A Vendor Village will be on site selling law enforcement-related items.
