Discover trunk or treats, spooky ghost tours and Halloween fun in Lake George

It’s the season of Jack-O’-lanterns, Halloween costumes, trick or treating, and, for the stout of heart, exploring the Netherworld. Lake George businesses and organizations are in the spirit, offering Halloween celebrations ranging from the light-hearted to the macabre. Here is our round-up of Halloween 2025 parties and events in the Lake George area.

Trunk or Treats

Up Yonda Farm
Saturday, October 25, 3 to 5 p.m.
5239 Lake Shore Drive
Bolton Landing, NY
Volunteers from local businesses and organizations will park their decorated vehicles along the Trunk or Treat path, where costumed guests may receive Halloween treats. The Up Yonda Trunk or Treat is free to attend. Parking is available at the farm. If the parking lot is filled, guests will be directed to an overflow parking lot.

Warren County Sheriff’s Office
Sunday, October 26, noon to 2 p.m.
Warren County Municipal Center Complex
1340 Route 9
Lake George, NY
Trunk or treating will be held in the Municipal Center’s front parking lot. Guests are asked to line up by the flagpole. This is a walk-through event hosted by the Sheriff’s office with support from many local businesses and the Sheriff’s P.B.A.

Lake George Trunk or Treat Halloween Block Party
Sunday, October 26, 4 to 9 p.m.

Lake George High School/Shepard Park
Canada Street
Lake George, NY
Festivities start at 4 p.m. in the Lake George Jr./Sr. High School gym with a Halloween Party that includes gift bags and a pumpkin for children. At 5 p.m. The Lake George Fire Department will lead costumed guests in a parade to Shepard Park, where they may visit trunk or treat stations. A dance party with entertainment will continue until 9 p.m. The Lake George Trunk or Treat Block Party is hosted by the Lake George Youth Commission.

Ghost Tours

The Historical Association is conducting ghost tours of the Old County Courthouse on Fridays and Saturdays through October 25 and is hosting a Halloween Paranormal Investigation on Friday, October 31, with YouTube investigators Finding Dystopia.
Ghost tour tickets are $15. Tickets to join the Halloween Paranormal Investigation are $50 for a three-hour session and $70 for the full 6-Hour session. Visit the Lake George Historical Association website for more information and to purchase tickets.

Fort William Henry
Haunted History Ghost Tour
October 17-18, 24-25
The 45-minute tour through the haunted sections of Fort William Henry includes a good dose of the fort’s history on grounds that saw battles and disease. Guides will tell of their personal brushes with the paranormal within the fort’s log walls. For more information and ticket purchase, visit the Fort William Henry Museum website.
If you want to make a weekend of it, the Fort William Henry Hotel is offering a Paranormal Getaway package, Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. The package includes two nights’ lodging, select meals, ghost tours, paranormal sessions, fire pits, a Boo Bash Welcome Party, workshops and hands-on discovery. Glens Falls, NY
Come in costume and trick or treat along Glen Street, Ridge Street and in City Park in front of Crandall Library. The party is free and includes live performances in the street. Boo2You is produced by Glens Falls Collaborative with support from the City of Glens Falls, Advokate and the Glens Falls Business Improvement District.

Forest Lake Camp Haunted House
Saturday, October 25, 2 to 6 p.m.
261 Forest Lake Road
Chestertown, NY
Haunted house, scavenger hunt, fortune telling, costume contest, food concessions, pumpkin launcher, and dancing witch troupe. Attendance is free.

Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Company Annual Halloween Parade
Friday, October 31, 4 p.m.

The parade lines up at the Hudson Headwaters Health Center parking lot, 3767 Main Street, Warrensburg. Costumed children with their families will march up Main Street to Stewart Farrer Street and down Elm Street to the Warrensburg Elementary School. Following the parade, the Fire Department will host a costume contest in the Elementary School gymnasium.

Visit the family-friendly haunted house, trick-or-treat, and enjoy refreshments. Free to attend. Donations welcome.
