On Sunday, vendors filled the Adirondack Winery’s Queensbury event space, and more vendors parked their booths among the large wine tanks in the wine production area downstairs. Dozens of shoppers sipped wine while browsing a selection of books, jewelry, apparel, cosmetics, houseplants, and flower arrangements. The event, Drink Pink Boozy Book Fair, launched the winery’s 13th Annual Drink Pink campaign, a breast cancer awareness fundraiser.
The products of several vendors acknowledged the significance of the fundraiser with items dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and easing the trials of those battling the disease. Mary Kay Cosmetics offered products to help those undergoing chemotherapy, and author Letti Raye Greene signed copies of her book, “Bare: A Novella,” a work inspired by her mother-in-law’s journey through the trauma of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Adirondack Winery’s Drink Pink fundraiser benefits the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. The winery holds Drink Pink events through October, culminating in walking as a team in the Making Strides walk-a-thon, which will be held in Downtown Glens Falls on Sunday, October 26.
The fundraiser also includes a large basket raffle with baskets of merchandise and gift cards donated by more than 50 local businesses. Raffle tickets may be purchased at the Adirondack Winery’s Queensbury Tasting Room, 395 Big Bay Road, and the Lake George Tasting Room, 285 Canada Street. Raffle tickets will also be available online at the winery website. All raffle ticket proceeds go directly to Making Strides.

During the Drink Pink campaign, Adirondack Winery will offer a limited edition of its mixed berry rosé labeled as Drink Pink Berry Breeze, with a special label and pink cap. Additionally, both tasting rooms will feature special Drink Pink cocktails, food specials, and Drink Pink merchandise throughout the campaign.
Over the past 12 years, Drink Pink has raised more than $137,000 for Making Strides, and Adirondack Winery has set a $20,000 goal for the 2025 campaign.
“In the thirteen years that we have supported Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks,” says Adirondack Winery President and Co-Owner Sasha Pardy, “I have met so many amazing survivors, volunteers, and families of both survivors and those who have passed on from Breast Cancer. There are so many beautiful people, from customers to employees to those we have never met who have had their lives directly impacted by this disease.”
