ADK Independence Music Fest returns to Lake George Labor Day Weekend

Once again, Lake George will say goodbye to summer and welcome the fall season with a three-day music festival featuring top touring bands. Billed “The Biggest Party of the Year,” the Adirondack Independence Music Festival kicks off its 10th year on Friday, August 29, and will run through Sunday, August 31, at the Lake George Festival Commons in Charles R. Wood Park.

Headlining the 2025 festival is jam band moe., who will be performing two full sets on both Friday and Saturday night, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will close out the festival with two sets on Sunday. The music starts at 1 p.m. on Friday, and at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Music will play on two stages until 11 p.m. each night.

Also performing are Grammy-nominated slide guitarist Robert Randolph, Talking Heads tribute band Start Making Sense & Ocean Avenue Stompers Horns, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, Ryan Montbleau Band, Bumpin Uglies, Annie in the Water, and many others. In addition to non-stop music, the festival features food, crafts, and merchandise vendors. Children are welcome. The Festival Commons overlook Lake George, giving Saturday night attendees a prime spot to take in the Saturday night Lake George fireworks.

Single Day advanced General Admission tickets are $80/$90 on the day of the show. Advanced General Admission tickets for all three days are $195/$210 on the day of the show. General Admission tickets for Children aged 12 and younger are free. VIP options are available, which include admission, a meal at the vendor of your choice, snacks, discounted adult beverages, a private viewing area, and access to the VIP tent with tables, chairs, and a private bar.

This is a rain-or-shine event. Re-entry is permitted with a festival wristband. Lawn and camping chairs are allowed. No pop-up canopies or tents, coolers, or outside drinks (one unopened water bottle per person is ok) are allowed. No outside food except for special needs food items.
