Kelly’s Angels was founded 15 years ago by NewsChannel 13 anchor Mark Mulholland in memory of his wife. Since then, the organization has helped bring a little joy to hundreds of area children who have experienced the loss of a parent or primary caregiver to cancer or other serious illness.
Kelly’s Angels offers Fun Grants that allow children to visit a place or buy something special that makes them happy. Angel Aid grants help families with expenses related to serious illnesses, and Angel Hugs are single, modest grants made to a surviving parent. Kelly’s Angels also has a college scholarship program to aid local students who have persevered in the face of adversity.
