The Lake George Arts Project’s Jazz at the Lake Festival is kicking off its 41st season on Friday, Sept. 12, with a Shepard Park performance and ‘Jazz Around Town’ events. The festival continues Saturday, Sept. 13, and Sunday, Sept. 14, with performances in Shepard Park, a Coffee and Jazz performance at Hello Sunshine Bagel Bistro, and a Jazz at the Lake Cruise aboard the Adirondac.
“For 41 years,” says Arts Project Executive Director Tanya Tobias, “Jazz at the Lake has brought people together through extraordinary music. It’s free, it’s open to everyone, and it feels like family. Every seat feels like the best in the house, artists and audiences connect up close, and people return year after year because the experience is truly one of a kind.”
Jazz at the Lake is one of the region’s premier jazz festivals and one of the longest-running jazz fests in the country. It is renowned for the diversity of jazz genres and the talent it draws to the stage, bringing jazz musicians from across the country to perform on the shores of Lake George with the Adirondack Mountains as a backdrop.
All Shepard Park and Jazz Around Town performances are free. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be food and beverage vendors in the park.
