Residents of the Town and Village of Lake George will once again turn their yards into markets for bargain hunters the first weekend in May. The 2025 Lake George Town-Wide Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, 2025, with most sellers open both days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a rain or shine event.
Shoppers can pick up garage sale maps, which label sale locations, at the Village Hall, 26 Old Post Road, on Friday during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., or at the Lake George Community Methodist Church, 78 Montcalm Street, over the weekend.

In conjunction with the Town-Wide Garage Sale, the Caldwell Presbyterian Church, 71 Montcalm Street, will be holding its popular rummage and bake sale. The rummage sale will be open on Thursday, May 1, 3-6 p.m., Friday, May 2, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 3, 9-11 a.m. Saturday features a bag sale. Shoppers pay one price for a grocery bag and may fill it with rummage sale items.
The Community Methodist Church will also be holding a garage sale and will open its Hidden Treasures thrift shop during the sale. Shop hours are Friday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. – noon. Hidden Treasures sells a variety of clothing, with most adult sizes priced at $2 and children’s clothing at $1 per item.
Weekdays following the Lake George Town-Wide Garage Sale, Monday, May 5 – Friday, May 9, will be Free-to-All Days. Residents may leave free items at the curb of their yards for anyone to take.
