Lake George Trunk or Treat Halloween block party to take over Canada Street

Children and grown-ups can give their 2025 Halloween costumes a test spin a few days before All Hallows Eve. The Lake George Youth Commission will hold its annual Trunk or Treat Halloween Block Party on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. The public is invited to the event, which includes a costume parade, trunk-or-treating, and a block party featuring live music and entertainment.

The festivities begin in the Lake George Jr./Sr. High School gym with games and snacks. Children attending will receive Halloween giveaway bags and a decorated pumpkin. At 5 p.m., the Lake George Volunteer Fire Department will lead a Halloween parade from the High School to Shepard Park. Costumed children and their families will march down Canada Street along with the Lake George Drumline and stilt walkers.

Following the parade, trick-or-treaters can visit trunks full of candy and surprises along Canada Street to fill their bags and buckets with sweet treats. Live entertainment in the park will include costumed characters, face painting, the Gem Radio Theater Witches, jugglers, the ADK-Raqs Bellydance troupe, and an aerial performance.

The Halloween Block Party will continue until 9 p.m. with dancing and local food trucks and vendors, including Cooley’s Ice Cream, Weiner Wagon, All Fired Up barbecue, All Things Delicious, and a hot cocoa and hot cider station.

The Gem Radio Theatre Dancing Witches perform at the 2022 Lake George Trunk or Treat Halloween party.
