Adirondack Independence Music Fest returns with exciting lineup

Robert Randolph and the Family Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds featuring Kim Wilson and Spin Doctors will headline the Second Annual Adirondack Independence Music Festival at the Wood Festival Commons in Lake George Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, October 1. The national acts will be supported by regional favorites in a lineup that departs from the festival’s debut last summer, which featured a fun lineup of tribute artists.

The season is also new. Last year’s festival was held Fourth of July weekend in the heat of Lake George’s summer tourist season. The mellow autumn days of this year’s fest are fitting for a lineup heavy in the blues. The Adirondack Independence Music Festival is a kid-friendly event with a special Kids Fun Zone. Vendors will be onsite selling food, craft beers and wine.
