Adirondack Riverfront Arts Festival comes to Warrensburgh Farmers’ Market

Jewelry, rustic furniture, homespun fibers, hand woven clothing, pottery and paintings are just a few of the products local artisans are offering at the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market this Friday, July 15. The Adirondack Riverfront Arts Festival is one of several festivals held during the season alongside the Market’s weekly fare of fresh produce, plants, craft beverages, organic meats and poultry, artisan cheeses, baked goods and natural dog treats.

This dynamic festival features woodcarving, jewelry design, spinning and knitting, painting and pottery techniques demonstrations.  Festival attendees can observe the processes used to make healing soaps and lotions and learn about the benefits of essential oils. Vendors are offering free samplings of craft beverages, cheeses, honey, maple products, chicken and rabbit, fruits and veggies, breads and desserts.  Local authors will be present for book signings.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will offer gardening advice and free recipes. Darryl Wilbur will be performing live music for the Arts Festival in the gazebo. Raffle tickets for the Warrensburg Historical Society’s two kayak raffle will be available as well as a free chance to win $20 in Farmers’ Market Bucks, which may be spent with the Market’s farmers.

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market, now in its 18th season, is located in Warrensburg’s Historic Mill District on the banks of the Schroon River along River Street (across from Curtis Lumber.)
