Apple Festival returning to Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market is holding its seventh annual Apple Festival this Friday, Sept. 18, 3-6 p.m. The main attraction will be crisp apples from local orchards, including organically grown fruit from Saratoga Apple, along with apple cider doughnuts and both sweet and hard ciders. Warren County Master Gardeners will be on hand with growing information and apple recipes.

More than a dozen local producers, artists and other businesses will be offering their products for sale. Children may create a take-home craft with Megan Reynolds of Bee-ing Artsy and Cornell Cooperative Extension, with Upper Hudson River Quality Deer Management Association, is offering Field to Fork recipes and samples of local venison. Folk musician Peter Burrall is providing live music in the gazebo.

Apple Festival organizers are hosting an Apple Dessert Recipe contest. Bring a batch of your favorite homemade apple dessert with at least one written copy of the recipe.
