Halloween lands on a Monday this year. This gives the grownups an entire weekend to show off their clever costumes, dance and make merry for the lead-up to All Saints’ Day.  Here’s a roundup of  Lake George establishments that are having parties with costume contests, live music and food and drink specials.

Costume contest: Cash prizes for Scariest, Sexiest, Best Group and Witty/Ironic.
Gift for everyone. Drink specials include $3 beers, $4 Fireball shots, $5 Jim Beam and North Huckleberry shots. No cover charge. Music by The Switch. This is your last chance to visit the Lake George Beach Club before they close for three months to renovate.

Costume contest: $1,000 in cash prizes for Scariest, Funniest Group and Most Original Individual. Those who arrive in costume get bottles of domestic beer for $3 and $3 well drinks. Dirt Cheap performs 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.

The Haunted Halloween Circus Halloween Party, 9 p.m. Sources at Neptune’s tell us this was planned months ago and has nothing to do with the recent creepy clown phenomena. It’s all in good fun. Neptune’s does a haunted house and costume contest. This year’s prizes:
$500 – Best overall Costume
$300 – Best Group Costume
$100 – Most Creative Costume
$100 – Funniest Costume
The Kicks are playing the Main Stage. There is no cover charge for anyone in costume.
