IRONMAN Triathlon coming to Lake George June 2027; Registration opens next week

Lake George is hosting the newest IRONMAN race next spring. The Cuisine Solutions IRONMAN 70.3 Lake George Triathlon will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2027. The debut event will begin in Lake George Village and travel through surrounding Adirondack communities.

In a press statement, Town of Lake George Supervisor Vinnie Crocitto, Jr. says, “Bringing IRONMAN 70.3 to the Lake George area has been a goal I’ve been proud to champion, and seeing it become a reality is incredibly rewarding. This opportunity reflects the commitment of our local partners and a community that knows how to welcome visitors. We’re excited to introduce athletes and their families to everything that makes this region special, while creating new opportunities for our hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions. We want them to leave with wonderful memories and a reason to return.”

The inaugural race will begin with a single-loop swim in the lake followed by a 56-mile bike course through the Adirondacks. The third leg of the triathlon will be a two-loop course that features Lake George landmarks. The race will finish in Charles R. Wood Park at the head of Lake George. From this central location, competitors, families, and friends can enjoy all that Lake George Village has to offer.

“Lake George and the Adirondacks provide a great backdrop for an IRONMAN 70.3 event, with a course that is both challenging and rewarding,” says Scott Straugh, Regional Director at The IRONMAN Group. “We appreciate the support and hospitality from the Village of Lake George and the surrounding communities. We look forward to creating an event that athletes enjoy and that brings lasting value to the region.”

General Registration for the inaugural Cuisine Solutions IRONMAN 70.3 Lake George triathlon opens on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026. Visit www.ironman.com/races/im703-lake-george to enter.
