Kringle Kottage, the sensory-friendly Santa Claus visit experience in Lake George, invites the community to join in a festive Decorating Day on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The not-for-profit organization needs a hand with trees, tinsel, and decorations to prepare for visitors at Kringle Kottage, which is located on the Fort William Henry Resort lawn, 48 Canada Street, Lake George.
“Whether lending a hand with decorations or simply sharing in the festive atmosphere, volunteers will play an important role in preparing the space for visiting families,” organizers wrote in a press statement.
Kringle Kottage debuted last year to provide a comfortable, inclusive, and accessible holiday experience for neurodivergent individuals who may be overwhelmed by the bright lights, loud noises, and crowds that often accompany public holiday events. Beginning in December, families can book private, sensory-friendly visits with Santa at Kringle Kottage. Visits with Santa are free.
Kringle Kottage is also seeking two volunteer Santa’s Helpers for scheduled appointments throughout the holiday season. Santa’s Helpers will help ensure that the Santa experience is comfortable and welcoming for visitors. For more information, visit www.Kringlekottage.org.
