Lake George Elvis Fest to open with free show in Shepard Park

The 2018 Lake George Elvis Festival kicks off Wednesday, May 30, at 7 p.m. with Opening Ceremonies in Shepard Park. The opening show, which is free to attend, will feature Festival headliners. The Festival continues through Sunday, June 3, with Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist contests, special parties, dinners and cruises with Elvis.

Saturday, June 2, at 9 a.m., Elvis tribute artists will gather at the Lake George High School on Canada Street for the Elvis Classic Car Parade. Artists will ride in vintage automobiles along a parade route that travels south to the Lake George Forum. Sunday, June 3, the public may attend an Elvis Music Gospel Celebration, which will be held 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Forum. Admission is free. Sponsors will be collecting donations for St. Jude’s.

The Elvis Fest has been a highlight of the Lake George spring calendar since its launch in 2004. It has grown to become the second largest venue for the Elvis Tribute Artist competition and is one of the few competitions selected by Elvis Presley Enterprises to be a qualifying round. During the five-day festival, ticket holders will have the opportunity to attend the contests and special shows, which are held at the Lake George Forum, 220 Route 9, Lake George.
