Mother’s Day 2019 lands on May 12 this year. Lake George chefs have gone all out creating brunch menus filled with a variety of flavorful options for mom’s special day. Reservations are required at most restaurants, strongly suggested at others as Mother’s Day seatings usually sell out.

Here’s another East Side restaurant with spectacular views. Top of The World is a historic golf resort perched on the side of French Mountain. Its sweeping views of Lake George and the Green Mountains of Vermont are famous in the area. Many make the drive up Lockhart Mountain Road just to take in the scenery.

Surfside is in the heart of Lake George Village, and its newly renovated Club Hamilton Restaurant overlooks the Southern Basin. Surfside recently reopened for the summer and announced that it will remain open year-round to take advantage of the vibrant Lake George 365 scene.
For their first ever Mother’s Day brunch, Surfside is offering an extensive buffet of breakfast, luncheon and dinner items including home-baked cinnamon rolls, a California twist on eggs Benedict, seafood, pasta, and carving stations with turkey and ham. The brunch features a mimosa bar and a tasty selection of cookies, brownies and cakes for dessert.

Dining at Erlowest is always an elegant affair. A century ago, the inn was the summer home of prominent Lake George part-time resident Edward Morse Shepard. The brunch buffet includes fresh fruit, shrimp cocktail, a roasted pork loin carving station, an omelet station, chicken and fish entrees and numerous savory side dishes. The Erlowest kitchen has created a special kid’s buffet for Mother’s Day 2019 with younger tastes in mind. Dessert features pastries, cakes and a chocolate fountain.
