Rhubarb Festival to kick off Warrensburgh Riverfront Market’s 2026 season

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market will open for its 28th season on Friday, May 29, with the 16th Annual Rhubarb Festival. The festival will be held at the Warrensburg Recreation Field Pavilion on Library Avenue in Warrensburg, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Shoppers will find bundles of fresh rhubarb for sale, rhubarb plants, and they can sample recipes featuring the tart vegetable. Master Gardeners with Warren County Cornell Cooperative Extension will be on hand with information on planting and growing rhubarb and other plants.

Bakers, craft beverage producers, artists and crafters will be offering their products for sale. Local farms will be offering organic and naturally raised chicken and duck eggs, fruits and vegetables, herbs, and maple syrup. Nettle Meadow will be selling their award-winning cheeses.

For children, the festival will have free hands-on and make-and-take crafts and face painting. Live music will be provided by Ukulele Babes and Friends with sing-along karaoke. Representatives from the Glens Falls Hospital Emergency Department will be offering free blood pressure checks and providing heart health information.

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market is held each Friday, June through October, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Farmers’ Market Park on River Street. The Market moves to the Recreation Field on Festival Days.
