Warren County 250th Commission to celebrate nation’s founding with ‘Gala 250’

The Warren County Commission for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and Fort William Henry are kicking off the region’s celebration of the nation’s birth with an elegant evening of colonial-inspired cocktails, a multi-course dinner, music and dance. The “Gala 250” will be held at the Fort William Henry Carriage House, 48 Canada Street, Lake George, on April 11, beginning at 5 p.m. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to attend in period attire or black tie.

Commission members John Berry, Chair, and Jennifer Brink, Executive Director of the Glens Falls Symphony, will open with welcoming remarks. Dr. Douglas Bradburn, Executive Director of George Washington’s Mount Vernon, will give the keynote address. The Glens Falls Symphony and the New York Baroque Ballet will perform 18th-century music and dance. The evening will also include traditional fife and drum music and a musket fire demonstration. Tickets are $76 per person and may be purchased online at www.warrenny250.com (select Events) and https://www.fortwilliamhenry.com/specials/250th-anniversary-gala/.

The Warren County Commission for the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution was formed to promote appreciation of the Revolution and to raise awareness of the region’s significant role in the nation’s founding through educational and public programs.
