Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market to hold 7th Annual Blueberry Festival

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market will celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday with a Red, White, and Blueberry Festival on Friday, July 17, under the pavilion at the Warrensburg Recreation Field on Library Avenue. The market will be open 3 – 6 p.m.

This is the seventh year for the Blueberry Festival, which features locally grown early and late varieties of blueberries, organically grown fruits and vegetables, preserves, local honey; blueberry buckles, cakes, muffins, scones and cookies; cheeses and distilled beverages enhanced with blueberries; blueberry wine, and “Blue Loon” blueberry smoothie.

At this year’s festival, shoppers will also find organic maple syrup, naturally raised chicken pieces and chicken sausage, local chicken and duck eggs, themed fabric, crocheted and wood crafts, rope baskets, handcrafted and silver gemstone jewelry, blueberry lemon and blueberry soaps, dried herb blends, spalted maple and resin jewelry, and healthy pet treats with blueberries.

Warren County CCE Master Gardeners will be on hand with information on how to grow your own berries. Guests will be offered a free sample plate of treats made from blueberries.

Richards Library Director Shelby Burkhardt will lead free hands-on crafts for children and offer Take & Make Craft Kits. Singer-songwriter Peter Burrall will be performing live music.

Singer-songwriter Peter Burrall plays at a Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market festival, September 16, 2022.
