Warrensburg Apple Festival to feature cider, doughnuts and locally grown fruit

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market is holding its 8th Annual Apple Festival on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. The Festival runs 3-6 p.m. at the park on River Street in the Warrensburg Historic Mill District directly across from Curtis Lumber.

Saratoga Apple will be offering multiple varieties of organically grown fruit, cider (sweet and hard) and apple cider donuts. Nearly two dozen vendors will be offering artisan foods and products, artwork and crafts. Singer/Songwriter Peter Burrall is performing in the gazebo.

The festival includes several activities for children including a craft workshop led by Megan Reynolds of Bee-ing ARTSY and face painting by Rachael & Lillian Hay. Visitors to the market may sample and cast a vote for their favorite entry in the Apple Dessert Contest. Those who wish to enter the contest should bring their apple dessert creation with a copy of the recipe.

Warren County Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will be on hand with advice for those who wish to grow their own apples and apple recipes. Visitors to the Market will have the opportunity to win $20 in Farmers’ Market Bucks, which may be spent with Market vendors.
