Lake George Churches will join at noon, March 30, to observe Good Friday by walking The Way of the Cross through Lake George Village. The solemn journey begins at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Mohican Street and continues to Canada Street with stops at the Old County Court House, and the churches on Montcalm Street — St. James Episcopal, the First United Methodist and Caldwell Presbyterian. Refreshments will be served at the final stop. The procession will be followed by a trolley for those unable to walk the route.
On Easter Sunday, April 1, local churches will hold an ecumenical sunrise service on MacDonald Pier in Shepard Park. The service begins at 6:30 a.m. Caldwell Presbyterian will host a breakfast following the service.
