Lake George residents will be filling their lawns with possessions that no longer spark joy in the hopes they will spark something with visiting bargain hunters. Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 is the 11th Annual Lake George Community Garage Sale. Sales begin at 9 a.m. and will remain open as late as 5 p.m. Additionally, several Lake George merchants will be holding sidewalk sales for shoppers seeking new merchandise at discount prices.
Participating sellers have registered their sales at the Village Hall, and their location will be noted on the garage sale map, which shoppers may pick up at the Village and Town Halls and at other key locations throughout town. The following week, Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10, is Free-to-All Days in Lake George. Residents may leave items they wish to give away at the edge of the road.
Proceeds from this year’s registration fee will benefit the Lake George Dog Park. Deadline for inclusion on the map is May 1. Contact Carollee Labruzzo, 518-588-4840, for more information.
