Valentine’s Day 2020: Several Lake George restaurants are offering special menus

Long-stem roses and heart-shaped boxes of chocolate are fine, but sharing a romantic dinner by the shores of Lake George can fill the heart and the stomach with joy. February 14 falls on a Friday this year, the start of the long President’s Day weekend. Several Lake George restaurants have created special menus for a romantic evening this Valentine’s Day. A reservation at any of these is a great way to show your affection and kick-off the long-weekend.

Valentine’s Day 2020 Dinners

Valentine’s Day dinner at the Historic Fort William Henry Hotel is served February 14, 6-9 p.m. The chef has created a special three-course menu for the holiday. Dinner includes complimentary glasses of champagne and a long stem rose. Tim Ortiz will be providing entertainment 8-11 p.m. The cost is $45 per person.

The View dining room overlooks Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains that rise from the lake’s shore. Valentine’s Dinner is served February 14-16, 4-9 p.m. The cost is $90 per couple. The View’s regular menu will also be available. The resort is also offering lodging packages for the long weekend.

This is serious BBQ for those who lean towards cowboy boots for Valentine’s Day attire. Barnsider is offering a three-course dinner for $21.95 on Valentine’s Day.

This last one isn’t dinner, but worth a mention, particularly if you are in town over President’s Day Weekend for the Winter Carnival. February 14-17, the Adirondack Winery is offering special romantic wine tastings that include wine infused mini cupcakes. Find the Winery Tasting Room on Canada Street across from Shepard Park.
